Often called Chi or life force, the notion of metaphysical energy is typically understood as being responsible for affecting us on a holistic level. In his New York Times bestseller The Hidden Messages in Water, internationally renowned Japanese scientist Masaru Emoto shows how the influence of our thoughts, words, and feelings on molecules of water can positively impact our personal wellness.
Using high-speed photography, Dr. Masaru Emoto discovered that crystals formed in frozen water reveal changes when specific, concentrated thoughts are directed toward them. He found that water that has been exposed to loving words shows brilliant, complex, and colorful snowflake patterns.

Try this simple method to determine if your home contains negative energy.
- Choose a translucent glass that shows no wear and tear and is clean (wear gloves when handling the glass to avoid fingerprints).
- Add sea salt to 1/3 of the glass.
- Add white wine vinegar to another 1/3 of the glass. (Do not stir together.)
- Add tap water until the glass is full. (Do not stir together.)
- Hide the glass in a room that seems to hold the most negative energy. Make sure it won’t be moved by other family members.
- Check the glass in 24 hours. If the contents in the glass turn color, instead of being clear, then you’ve located negative energy.
- Based on your results, you can repeat this process in other rooms to locate where the negative energy is located in your home.
